What is Freight Shipping?

Any package over 150lbs is considered a freight shipment. This is the weight limit of the small parcel carrier (FedEx, UPS, or DHL). Freight shipping is the transportation of goods, commodities and cargo in bulk by ship, aircraft, truck (less than truckload or LTL, full truckload, multiple truckloads) or intermodal via train and road. It can be transported domestically or internationally by land, air or sea.
